Race for Life Croydon

Image

On Sunday the 22 July Cancer Research are holding the Race for Life: Croydon. Race for Life events are a mix of 5 and 10k run, jogs or walks in aid of Cancer Research UK. It’s a fun event with a serious meaning behind it, so let’s all join the biggest fight against cancer and hope that one day we have a cure for everyone!

Croydon is well known for its 120 parks and large volumes of open spaces and with over 8% of the area covered in woodland. I can’t think of anywhere nicer in London to go for a run. If you are travelling down for the event, have you thought about where you will stay? When I ran this race last year I stayed in a beautiful Croydon Park Hotel which is definitely well needed after the run. There is nothing better as every runner knows than coming back to a nice bath and comfy bed.

Of course the Race for Life is well known for wacky pink outfits and to be honest, the pre-run shopping event is the most fun. Do you have your outfit sorted yet? If not then take a look at our outfit ideas: http://pinterest.com/calmyourbeans/running-essentials/

If you need any inspiration to run the Race for Life, just take a look at this commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPqA_wYlqR0 and remember that:
